This portrait of a lynx is like a beacon of hope. The animal lights up in the dark with small glimmers around it. The neutral and warm tones makes the lynx feel 3 dimensional. The eyes are calm yet aware.

I have watched a lot of videos about the lynx. It has had a home in the Nordic countries, but not so much anymore. I wonder if I will get to see one in the wild at some point? They are just a beautiful symbol of wildness. These big cats are really important when it comes to biodiversity and making nature more healthy. Hopefully there is hope for them in the future. I painted this canvas with hope in mind!
