My name is Annika and I am a self taught artist. I live in Southern Jutland, Denmark.

My art journey began back in 2018. Here I tried acrylic paint for the first time. Since then I have painted a lot, both in watercolor and acrylic. I also draw a lot, both sketches for paintings and just for fun.

My interest lies with the natural world and I donate to Planet Wild, to support their work with nature restoration and help animals to thrive better on our beautiful planet.

My art starts by me being grabbed by the personality of an animal or the feeling of a landscape. Often I take a lot of my own photos. Then I play with colors and composition, sometimes I make a mock up before I begin a final painting.

My art is recognized to be a combination of naturalism and a touch of abstraction. I experiment quite a bit, both with light, colors and energy via brushstrokes on every piece.
